Dear Colleagues,

It is with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility that we welcome you to a new chapter of the Young Confederation of the European ORL–HNS Confederation.

The Young Confederation was established to represent perspectives and professional needs, to fulfill the expectations of colleagues under the age of 45. Supported by both junior and senior members of the Confederation, the initiative was created with a practical objective: to strengthen communication, training opportunities, and scientific collaboration among the next generation of ORL-HNS specialists.

Since its foundation, the Young CEORL-HNS has represented far more than a professional network. By connecting colleagues from diverse geographical, academic, and cultural backgrounds, we aim to create an environment where ideas can evolve into meaningful projects and lifelong collaborations.

Over the coming years, our efforts will focus on several strategic priorities:

• Expanding high-quality educational activities, including webinars, digital learning platforms and social media quiz posts
• Continuing to organize the European Dissection Course
• Supporting international research initiatives and multicenter collaborations
• Developing accessible educational resources for trainees and young specialists. Continuing to create a video atlas to provide free access to a library of surgical videos
• Increasing the active involvement of young physicians within scientific meetings and congresses
• Strengthening our collaboration with other young subspecialty societies and trainee networks

Beyond these goals, we aspire to cultivate a professional community grounded in scientific integrity, inclusivity and mutual support. We believe that the future of ORL-HNS will be defined not only by technological progress, but also by the strength of the connections we build with one another.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to past President Professor Jan Plzák, the representatives of the Presidential Council, the senior Executive Board, and all senior colleagues of the General Assembly whose vision and continued support have made this initiative possible. Their trust in the next generation serves as both an inspiration and a responsibility. We also extend our gratitude to the President of the Gothenburg 2026 Congress, Professor Ann Hermansson, and the Scientific Chairs, Professor Linda Marklund, Professor Per Cayé-Thomasen, Professor Rusana Bark, Professor Lovisa Farnebo and Professor Per Von Hofsten for their support and including us in the scientific program of the 2026 Congress. Additionally, we warmly congratulate the new President, Professor Tomislav Baudoin, and President Elect Miroslav Tedla with whom we look forward to growing and collaborating over the next years.

To every young colleague joining this journey: your ideas, energy, and ambition are the driving force behind this community. Together, we have the opportunity to shape a more connected, innovative, and academically vibrant future for European ORL-HNS.
