Oral cavity cancer is rising among young adults without classic risk factors, and their tumours seem to recur more often than in older patients. Yet current evidence is mostly single-centre and underpowered.
The Y-CEORL invites all CEORL centres to join the YOOC-Study, a multinational comparison of survival and recurrence between patients aged ≤40 and stage-matched older patients.
Each centre should contribute at least 10 patients aged ≤40 treated over 10 years, plus three random patients over 40 for each (e.g. 10 young, 30 older).
